First Christian Church - Why the name?  

It fits us. 

We're a group of regular people trying to navigate what it means to follow Jesus, love our neighbors, and understand the Good News enough to share it - just like the "first" Christian church.

We break bread, read Scripture, pray, sing, and share life in common - just like the "first" Christian church.

We are an independent church relying on the teaching of Christ and the consul of the Apostles - just like the "first" Christian church.

We recognize we have a responsibility to the community around us, to orphans, widows, the lost and afflicted - just like the "first" Christian church.
